Hi, I'm Omari.

I was born and raised in DeKalb County in the State of Georgia, and now serve as a Representative in the Georgia General Assembly for State House District 89.

I represent 60,000 Georgians who live in South DeKalb, the City of Decatur, the City of Atlanta neighborhoods of Kirkwood and East Lake, and the Druid Hills area around Emory University.

Let's Run Our Race.

I run... a lot. I used to race the 800-meter in college, and now I race to reduce the cost of living for Georgians, improve our criminal justice system, and give our kids the quality education they’re entitled to.

Policy Rundown

I also run for real! I’m collaborating with the Metro Atlanta YMCA to run a half-marathon in all 50 states from 2025 to 2029. I’m visiting YMCA’s along the way and learning the to-do’s (and not-to-do’s!) from lawmakers in each state.
